You can't find any other project in the crypto similar to Open Libra. If you do, I want to hear about it. Refusing ICO, VCs and all sorts of chart manipulation tactics and fake activities (no airdrops, no trading campaigns...), even fighting legal cases against deceptions, still pushing forward since 2019, with all the existing accounts - without exception - recently going through a locking mechanism where everyone start from 0 unlocked coins... imagine that! With the V8 upgrade successfully complete, we’re gearing up for Open Libra’s next chapter. Before we launch, we have to tackle one last critical task – rebranding our project ticker. As you may be aware, the current ticker *$LIBRA* was co-opted by a fraudulent Solana-based project tied to Argentina’s president, Javier Milei. This has tainted the ticker with negative sentiment, and made it challenging for the market to distinguish us from this scheme. Version 8.0.0 was released today: https://github.com/0LNetworkCommunity/libra-framework/releases/tag/8.0.0 The upgrade has multiple steps which will last a minimum of one week. The upgrade has the following steps. All validators should rebuild the libra binary at the v8 version, and restart your nodes. Please do this in the next 24 hours., An on-chain governance upgrade will begin tomorrow, approximately 24 hours from now. That ceremony has a variable length, and might complete within 1-2 days., Testing will take place to ensure the accounts are being migrated., Assuming testing is successful, as it has been on testnet, the validators could exit "governance mode" next week (week of May 12th)., Carpe Diem @polygonchain @base @buterinvitalik @bitcoin
