Why do you think political betting took off onchain before sports betting?

What problems would being onchain solve for sports betting?

It probably won’t help the reputation of crypto, but sports betting feels like the next obvious onchain use case.

Sports betting is well served by existing providers. 

Political markets have existed but have been less liquid. 

Polymarket have won that segment, and also runs open order books which means more trading than you can on a trad platform. Maybe they can do sports now too.
