ideally reclaiming national identity should come with both technological optimism AND strong moral/aesthetic signposts from our artists, who should be exalted as highly as our scientists and entrepreneurs. I see a shameful lack of leadership or influence from the current crop. take back the arts too!

as long as the artists are of a certain cluster of echo chambers over Instagram who are hostile to any different view—i'm not even taking sides, btw—it's hard.

the tech right needs to stop hating NYC as a concept first on their own part and find ways to communicate with the uncomminiqueable.
