- Last week included 403 accounts with zero casts 2 weeks back; this week includes 297 accounts with zero casts last week

I enjoy so many of the people on Farcaster but it seems fundamentally broken. It just doesn't make sense to turn a social network into a weekly audition for a chance to be seen and heard. Professional engagement farmers have the right idea I guess. They seem to be thriving.

Yeah, that's the approach to take, for sure. I let it bother me too much because I don't understand it as a business model and hate all the implications of an algorithmic caste system.

If I'm going to stay I just need to accept it and try to happily vibe in my little corner with the cool people I've met.

I try to forget about that side of the app. I’m simply socializing at this point and having fun doing it. My rank has significantly improved but that’s just a reflection of my engagement here

I quit worrying about the badge a while ago.

it's definitely hard for smaller accounts to be seen

and then people get demotivated and leave

the AI bot spam problem is immense and it feels like a band aid solution to that to me
