Why do apps drop points rather than an onchain token? Feels mid to me. Just drop the token and give people skin in the game for real asap

Points give more flexibility. Once you give the tokens they are gone, when you give points you still have the ability to make changes and adjust the system.

That's the idea. Points give some extra early runway for testing and adjusting before committing to an on chain solution that would take a lot more effort to change later.
