No one talks about the guilt that comes with depression. You feel guilty for feeling sad, for not being happy, for letting people down. You feel like a burden, like you're failing everyone. Even though you're struggling, the guilt of not being "better" eats at you. But remember: you don't owe anyone an explanation for your mental health, and it's okay to take time for yourself to heal.

Sometimes, it’s hard to talk to anyone, not because they don’t care or listen, but because you feel stuck in your own thoughts and emotions. Trying to explain how you feel seems impossible, and you don’t even know where to start. The hardest part is that no one else can see or feel what you’re going through, so they might think you’re overreacting. It’s lonely when no one truly understands.

There’s a type of loneliness that hits deep. It’s not just being alone in a crowd or staring at a wall. It creeps up when you’re in bed, replaying conversations and wondering why people left. It makes you question your worth, thinking, “What’s wrong with me?” It hits hardest when you realize you’ve been living someone else’s dream, and the person you thought would be there isn’t anymore. It leaves you feeling empty and broken.
