Farcaster vs. X X generally feels like an 80/20 net-negative experience. You’ll get a few kek-worthy memes (20%), but it doesn’t justify the brainrot. I manage several accounts for work, but I try to use tools like Typefully to schedule posts and avoid doomscrolling the TL when possible. Farcaster, on the other hand, feels like a giant group chat. I mostly use it to keep up with old colleagues and other recovering .eth maxis. It’s also refreshing to see @dwr.eth interact with users in a productive way. The recent focus on wallet experience also makes it feel less like a social media timesink and more like browsing onchain. I’m still hoping to hit the 5M creator earnings threshold on X, but it feels hard without consistently putting out video content. It’ll be interesting to see how many Warpcast rewards I rack up by EOY in comparison. Also, an interesting data point: I have 9,654 followers on X, but only 2.1K are verified—which happens to be the same number I have on Farcaster.

I already shill Farcaster regularly, but I think people probably just have social media fatigue. Framing it as more of a "wallet/onchain experience" might be a better pitch. PS - Would love if there was a referral program. Maybe something that only rewards folks if they hit some minimum retention threshold after 30/60 days.
