In the US, we're so individualistic that joining a community can feel like navigating a reality TV show. I mean, why risk it? The minute someone asks, "Whose name is on the loan?" or "What if someone remarries and we all hate the new partner?" you realize the juice might not be worth the squeeze. Plus, we all know the drama that comes with splitting a Netflix account!
