Serious question: What do you think is the best way to measure high-quality users on Farcaster right now? Would you use the Power Badge or something else?

I agree with you, the true qDAU number is much lower. The power badge is also held by many users who I personally consider spammy. So I think we need new algorithms to count the number of high-quality users on Farcaster. Testing multiple algos would allow us to make meaningful comparisons

Quality/high-quality are subjective descriptors (example: some view accounts casting $degen hundreds of times per day to be spam; others do not)

The number of Power Badge-holding accounts is a more honest approximation of DAU than what is recorded in the Dune dashboard

High quality is subjective.   Reality is this an ecosystem based around the tech & finance.   Majority of power users (w/ minimal exception) likely view those topics as high quality which is understandable.      It feels catch 22 at this point for onboarding real humans w/ interests outside of tech/finance because I’m also interested in tech & finance, but not nearly as much as meaningful connections formed through common interests.   Channels were great at first,  but once visibility was changed to be at the mercy of mods or power users interacting.       The most high value posts to me currently would be the ones signaling the current system doesn’t encourage human interests not tied to incentives.

I use it every day still no powerbadge. maybe social skill issue
