Whether we call them channels or labels, I believe it's beneficial for Farcaster channels to function as collectives. Instead of focusing on growth hacking, memecoin farming, and content sharing, let's prioritize building communities. We need more tools and features that empower users to co-create.

Yes, that’s a better way to think about it. The experience should encourage and maybe even incentivize that approach.

It's not gona be easy, but I hope this is the direction Farcaster will take when channels are added to the protocol. Onchain moderation and governance of channels is complex, but if done right, I think it could make channels operate similar to labels.

I want to see direct integration within Farcaster and clients, but there are things we can do today such as launch @paragraph newsletters for channels and do collective drops on @zora. Right now channels have to use tools like @party to function as a collective, but it should be built in imo
