I see a discrepancy between the likes shown on casts when opening the likes lists (there are more) Are we hiding fake likes (from potential bots)?

I've noticed weird stuff like this as well. A post going from 40+ likes to 36 likes. I know Warpcast is filtering out some spam activity, but not very clear on how it all works.

check out the same casts in Opencast, Flink, Vasco, and Cast by Farquest. You can triangulate how much filtering is done for you quietly, in the background. IIRC all of the above are free to browse (no login/paid signer required to view), thanks to a recent upgrade by @stephancill

this is just me, parroting the parts I hear most loudly from the official line: - it's a secret - trust us - OFAC - stated vs. revealed preference: ppl prefer to use WC when other choices are out there

Im using other clients but in read-only mode until the signer issue is resolved. If you embrace an alt client and they close down because they ran out of funding, all the casts and reactions that you made from that client will disappear forever.

I don't think this is true? I think only you can delete your own signer, not even Merkle can (because it lives on OP chain). - client creates signer on your behalf (you pay the gas/Warps) - your custody address holds the signer, not the client - client knows private key of the signer, but not of your custody address
