I meant building on an open system, a robust p2p network that is stable and accessible. Wallet connect right now is all centralized and the network will take a long while to get running with its own challenges

I feel like “robust p2p” is still an oxymoron at scale for things like wallet interactions that demand high liveness, fast state replication and low latency.

But I’d love to prove that wrong!

I think it should be possible to have it robust if the companies are keen to host a node. You host a node, so your users have a better experience, it goes down and messages are going through a less reliable p2p network. I believe Waku.org works now like that.
