I honestly really enjoy it.  I kind of have to watch it as soon as it's released because it's so topical.  

I think a lot of the other commenters expect it to be thigh-slappingly hilarious, but I just like that its fun and light-hearted and relevant. I genuinely enjoy when the actors are trying so hard not to laugh, or when things don't go to plan (like Ego not getting the crowd participation she wanted in the latest). 

For me it's just a fun Sunday morning show to watch over breakfast that sometimes hits, sometimes misses but is just pretty fun for me.

I only discovered SNL the last couple of years so I don't have the comparison to the old days like so many other people do.

OMG, that Beavis and Butthead one was incredible.  Defo a high point.

Yeah, I have no idea how well it rates or what its audience numbers are like, but for me it feels very validating when I think the past week was bonkers and SNL is right there making jokes about it all.  It almost feels therapeutic. 

Even being in the US and very online, I absolutely do not get every joke.

one of my favourites is the beavis and butthead one for that reason 

yeah i only watch on youtube but was curious what the reception was because some of the jokes are so obscure and borderline awkward😭😭
