Do you incorporate plyometrics in your training ? Doing stuff like this will work on your Achilles tendon (stiffen it) so you can be more explosive, jump higher, run faster etc. Just like anything new, itโ€™s got to be done gradually and progressively over timeโ€ฆ. So be patience ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ quality over quantity.

Ohhhh.... I've only got a single plyo movement in my training routine at the moment, which is the squat jump. I feel ridiculous doing it (it's easily my most noisy exercise) but it's such an amazing movement.

That's great. There are defo more ridiculous things to see in the gym, I think most people think plyo movements are impressive. Defo have a go at working them in different planes, as well as single leg versions - I.e hopping, bounding.
