I think farcaster as an internet-native version of FB is a great goal. FB was all about keeping in touch / playing games / using apps / sharing things with your friends. So is FC. the difference is that FB was grounded in your IRL social network, whereas farcaster is your (likely much larger) online network

I believe FC has the opportunity to excel in social media shopping (flash sales, ticket releases, preorders, etc). Compared to other platforms, it has the foundational pieces to enable fewest steps from viewing post to purchase: an embedded wallet (well warpcast at least does now) and frames v2 for instant checkouts. Plus, a lot of internet-native entrepreneurial users. If you look at the popular uses of other platforms today, they have shifted to more focus on brand and consumerism. One of the main uses for FB now is FB marketplace. Twitter and Instagram are used a lot for announcements, product launches and merch drops. But these require a few extra steps (clicking on external link, enter email, fill out credit card info,...) to convert to paying customers that can be eliminated on any FC client.
