It is embarrassing that 2 of the top 4 clankers by market cap are Based Fartcoin and Dickbutt.

100% agree -- everyone wants this space to be taken seriously and then moon some shit like cuck coin.

also agree with this -- I'm all for a good meme, but this is just straight up gambling. 

I'm a grumpy old man on this subject and tend of focus solely on vision/utility/team/lore.

yea and i'm not opposed to pure memes and speculation btw, these are just not it imo, like higher is a best case, and i also like something like gdupi which is original and to some degree effectively a yon coin

all fair and reasonable. 

unfortunately, I think "the media" is more apt to pick up a story about a shit coin rug (see: HAWKTUAH) than say, the $70m Gitcoin has distributed, et al.

Clanker is great but I think, in general, clankers are "for fun" and not to be taken seriously. The more serious tokens, like $veil, will likely be launched in other formats. Just like most tokens that are serious aren't launched on pump fun. 

That doesnt mean all - some legit projects will, and some memes will turn legit with sustained success. But i think part of the issue here is the expectations. However i do hate the copycat tokens where they just throw the word based in front.
