i usually exclusively read literary fiction, but a good mate is making me read this. about 10% through and the prose is pretty ugly (translation caveat) but it’s been interesting enough so far.

Power through, it's worth it :) I recommend finishing the whole trilogy. Dark Forest (book 2) is my favorite.
