People wanting to learn the city with repeated exposure should rely less and less on the subway maps :)

Easier for visitors, worse for people wanting to learn the city through repeated exposure. I'll miss the old one but I'm sure I'll get used to the new one over time.

The biggest thing they need to fix is on the platforms making it easer to understand what direction the trains are going lol

I know there’s a name for the style and I don’t mind it, graphic wise. Is it easier to read? Dunno.

Cleaner design, better spacing, and clearer labels make navigation easier, but it still retains NYC’s signature chaos. Biggest win should be improved airport connections.
