This report on Carvana is pretty insane If true, it's an accounting grift for the ages https://x.com/HindenburgRes/status/1874833529957466607

These guys are famous short sellers w a zero hedge mindset; good callouts: NKLA, Lordstown motors decent to bad callouts: CLOV bad: DKNG their reports invoke regulatory scrutiny, legal action, and in a lot of cases were right but they have huuuuge interests in the stock tanking, they can move mkts w their reports and cover most of the time

Not surprised to see this Just the other day I saw some video of the CEO talking on TV, and the news anchor asked “How’d you guys make so much money?” and the CEO’s answer was super cagey… Immediately made me think sketchy accounting / fraud

This is absurd. I was always a little turned off by the way carvana biz model worked - was not aware of this but its 100p believable

That sucks. We bought a car from them in 2014 and it was a great experience. We were so fed up with dealership lies and other BS at that point, I had Carvana deliver to a parking lot across from a row of dealers. Sign the iPad and here's your car!
