Agreed on the social layer but social is really hard so I’d think that social integrations would be the best approach for Netflix 

The content licensing model definitely needs improvement but the competition is healthy but we need better tech to aggregate services/providers

Huge whitespace for a social layer especially as they step into this multi modal era of on demand, live and gaming

I think the bigger problem is that the content licensing model is so deeply flawed - no player can offer a holistic experience akin to spotify and music

This creates a lot of tension in the industry, leading to overpaying/underpaying for license, for talent, for IP - the only way out seems to be to own as much of the stack, which they are spending a significant chunk of that ~$15B yearly to do, which is smart

oh and skin in the game entertainment 

but im kind of happy for them to sit out on that for awhile and let us take a shot :)
