This isn't the main reason that people aren't onboarding onto Farcaster Warpcast has done a poor job of creating network effects where active users try to onboard their friends. I think many active users are discouraged to attempt to onboard their friends or social circle bc a) it costs $5 and b) there's not enough fun things for friends to do with each other like Words With Friends, Wordle, HQ Trivia etc. People already have too many messaging apps so I think Warpcast needs to offer messaging/social plus more fun activities in order for new users to onboard to yet another social platform or messaging app

What about a onboarding budget for power users. you can invite people and FC eats the fee If those people don't churn you get more budget

Don’t forget that brand new users are ending up in β€˜see more replies’ wit their literal first comments. Why would I invite a friend for that?

The actually-human FC user base is small and ultra niche, and there's only a limited number of new users it can onboard. Simple as that.

big disagree people onboard then they don't see anything so they bounce content discoverability is πŸ—‘οΈ on here as we discussed when you and I had an in-depth 8 message back and forth convo and not a single one of our followers saw it because of the choices that were made regarding what goes in the home feed https://warpcast.com/kenny/0x5d8fe1e0

Too many bots. Way worse than Twitter. Hard to differentiate a boy and an account with a not a large number of followers at this point.

I don’t think it’s warpcast’s job to make those things. It’s warpcast’s job to make a cauldron where builders can make those things. And I think Warpcast is doing that.

i think b is essentially the same category of stuff as "interesting content" - content is just whatever you consume on the app

i don't know if "fun activities" is a warpcast issue. people can develop frames to do fun activities in those. but i do agree that we are seeing network effects limitations. likely related to the kind of activity that is prioritized. it seems like many are just farming for the next airdrop or freebie shitcoin to tip next..
