i used to have a very well curated all-lossless collection. around 2011, it turned into various streaming subscriptions from Spotify to MOG to Beats Music to Apple back to Spotify (and back and forth between) over the years. still have hard drives of the data ... somewhere. over Pandemic I even freshly ripped all my CD's

I'm in LA and it has been down here for a good 40 mins or so. I realized that apps not working is practically the only reason I go to twitter anymore - just to check - seems like it's been down for over an hour for some people

I recently bought a Tangara (it's ok..) to have just a music device with music I owned. spotify being down this morning made me goto bandcamp on a buying spree. It made me bullish on ownership and supporting artists directly even more than I already do.

Good to know. The mobile app has been unsuccessful today. Reviving my old ipod mini's and digging up music files lately has been a fun project years in the making, largely due to streaming issues.
