entry 2 : Turner Interpretation by a Cyborg William Turner was known as the “painter of light”, so I was interested in seeing Lum's interpretations of this beacon in art history. As a starting point I used one of his paintings called “Rain, Steam and Speed”, that illustrates the power of the machine and the technological revolution. It transformed from a train at Turner’s time, to Lum’s vision of a cyborg. The image was generated with one of my models on Alias.
