yes. but it sets the creator rewards portion of zora protocol rewards to the original caster. idea is to make creators stop and think "should i mint this" before casting. inspired heavily by this manifesto i wrote about 6 months ago

we're experimenting with this concept: onchain is the new online. when someone shares your work online, you get exposure. imagine they're sharing it onchain and you get exposure, and money. it's not claiming ownership, nor trying to impersonate the original. it's simply another means of distribution and monetary reward

Oh damn, that's going to create a lot of issues and frustration for artists if other people can mint their images without their consent. I def don't want everything I post to be minted personally. Unless I misunderstood how it works?

I think I can say with confidence, no artist is ok with this. I need to see if I’m truly understanding this.  You could grab any of my posts and mint the artwork yourself?

The thing is casting isn't minting for a reason. 

Everyone can mint their own stuff whenever they want, none needs help with this.

Your thinking is fundamentally flawed. You are enabling people to mint artwork I've already minted elsewhere simply because I shared the image here. You're also robbing me of the right to have my artwork minted on a contract I own, for a price I determine. 

This behavior will drive artists away from FC. Period.

from now on if i share art i want to mint im going to tag you so you can send me the money to mint it. i literally live in poverty and cant just mint every piece of art i make.
