Just listened to a conversation with Federico Faggin, best known for designing the first commercial microprocessor, the Intel 4004, released in 1971.
Going to grab his book, Irreducible: Consciousness, Life, Computers, and Human Nature, and will likely fall down a rabbit hole.
His new theory is that consciousness is the fundamental reality, and what we call the physical world is the symbolic, shared expression of countless conscious entities interacting freely and creatively.
He has his critics, and these are radical ideas, but there's a certain vibe of intuition that I can't seem to escape after hearing him reason with his theory. Not to mention, it closely aligns with my own lived experience and general understanding of the quantum world.
Exciting times! 0 reply
