but i think there’s some serious truth to what @jacob had to say re nouns and tokens on this podcast with @jackson 

i’ve obviously been exploring this realm over the past two years and now i’ve built /imf i can unlock credit for any token 

so instead of being pumpfun for handouts, we can close the feedback loop for value accrual, by giving the community ownership that they can then borrow against. 

the biggest problem with the nouns model is simple: the feedback loop doesn’t work because there isn’t one. 

experimenting with coins and credit could happen alongside the existing dao. but my bet is it works better in the long run. b

i mean alongside the dao have a Gnars coin experiment, everyone gets their equivalent share, and instead of a treasury, fund ideas by borrowing stablecoins. 

not imf’s stablecoin, we don’t have one, but $USDS from Sky, formerly DAI from Maker DAO, the oldest DeFi protocol.

You mean creating a Gnars coin to raise funds (or transfer the treasury), deposit it as collateral in the IMF, to get IMF’s stablecoin, and use that for Morpho’s yield to fund Gnarthletes and gnarly ideas?

Continuing to follow Zora’s lead is a major L. Overall, I’d like to see less of this trend chasing / hype machine / next shiny thing mentality. How many of your coin side projects have succeeded @gami.eth ? How many of your DAO side projects have failed? I don’t see a track record for a Gnars coin to be successful. I see it as another Gami experiment, tacked on to Gnars bc where else could you do it? Gnars still has some liquidity - so why not right?
