Why do apps drop points rather than an onchain token?

Feels mid to me. Just drop the token and give people skin in the game for real asap

1. Fear of regulatory crackdown

2. Easy to adjust "pointinomics" on the fly whereas onchain tokenomics are rather set in stone after token launch

Agreed though feels like a low quality airline loyalty program when it’s all just a google sheet for database accounting.
