bruh this is the hardest it’s ever been to pay for something 😭 lol had to get in to my password manager, then 2FA, all to get this error message despite not choosing any denomination, and there’s no way to add funds

howdy @jhoward! how are you paying, and do you have any liquidity in your crypto wallet? you will need at least that much in ETH/USDC on Base to pay for the cookies.

hmmm. can you share your wallet address with the funds? if it's Coinbase specific (offchain), then @gainsley @lodow can help you here.

yeah it never asked me for a wallet address, and I didn’t plan to pay with a crypto wallet I can go get a Base wallet if that’s the only way it works, but seems… sub-optimal 😅

you will need something in your wallets or Coinbase account. i bought like $100 worth of ETH just to keep an open balance like a traditional bank. and no card payment options — this was just an MVP that found product market fit! but there is always room for improvement.

Hey @jhoward — right now, you’ll need to have a balance in any one token on Coinbase (e.g. $50 in BTC, ETH, USDC, etc). We’ll have top-ups in the flow soon, but for now, you’ll need to acquire the additional crypto on the Coinbase app or website.

ah yeah top-ups in the flow is what I was imagining. or just a button to get the exact money from my bank account that coinbase already has! maybe worth putting a message to this effect on that error page? thanks for the info!
