I love the renewed attention to noise as a key component of everyday life. Knowing that noise is a primary characteristic of the the data we collect as humans or practitioners is half the battle ..

News of Apple Car's ambitions being decimated by the difficulty of self-driving is a setback to AI in the real world. When error are costly, you can't afford to substitute humans.

Extraction of resources is scarcity/demand driven. Terraforming should perform, at scale, a rebalancing of scarcity and demand maintaining harmony through all affected communities.

The demise of Google as a search engine is something that I have been struggling with. An entity not owned by Alphabet could make a LLM available for free -- the non-advertisement business model I am struggling with. Would that be AIaaS? You download updates on your local device of the weights based on a sub. Maybe?

I am reading "A Man', the biography of Alexandros Panagulis by Oriana Fallaci. It's not that far in time, but amazing how important it is to have people put their lives on the line in order to progress in terms of civil liberties. I am not sure anyone is prepared to fight for this in the new internet world.

I am starting to sound like these consultants that try to get gigs by saying "you need more planning". I am not sure I would pass the GPT-3 ehm. the BIG-Interpolator test.

The big interpolator is really good but ... it is a big interpolator. I am going to refer to it as BIG-I.

I wonder what happens to geniuses such as Byrner Hobart and Matt Levine with maturing LLMs. How the hell they produce so much content of such high quality god only knows. But, I wonder at what point AI is going to give the connecting-the-pieces and producing tools to more mediocre folks.

Watched Wall E with the family. It's insightful how in 2008 the dystopian "human hooked up to a screen" theme was tilted over splashy big corporations running a la Blade Runner instead of what is turning out to be 15 years later (subtle, unconscious addiction).
