Ledger wants to scale to bring HW to more people and this is part of it.

Seems the easiest way to scale would be to ditch the hardware and just have a subscription based software wallet. Why slow yourself down with a hardware component? The hardware seems more like a vestigial remnant. A glossy physical cover for what is essentially an overpriced smart contract wallet.
