Introducing data usage settings on Warpcast (requires app store update)

By default we don't auto-play videos and we load lower-quality images on slow connections.

Now, you can enable this feature for cellular networks or to be always on.

You can find settings by tapping on your pfp on the top left, then the gear on the top right of the sidebar. Then you'll find "Data usage" in the Settings list.

As a fast follow, GIFs won't animate when data savings is on, you'll have to tap them for them to animate.

It'll only work for GIFs uploaded since Friday evening LA time.

Has anyone built a "lite" warpcast, (data-wise), where it preloads only text and uses very little data so it can be accessed in remote/low signal locations? Or I.e. with a "click to load" option so images are only on demand.

assuming there will be another update regarding ‘load high quality images/videos’, like x/twitter?

Good feature, but can you let users decide what to auto-play and what not?

Is there any guidance about this feature?
