It's interesting how it seems that the perception of product management has shifted negatively recently, while the perception of research has shifted positively both in crypto and AI.

seen this in AI, but not so much in crypto. Crypto did not have a product management role tbh most of the times...

I've seen the product management thing apply to tech in general and the research thing mainly AI and crypto.

ah got it. then it makes sense - with chat gpt, product manager roles have gotten the need to evolve anyway. Much easier for even biz heads to get the first level of PRD out...
