Don't use `MAX` anywhere in code. Any chance of wallet/UI issue? Would be useful to see that calldata to see if the requested call really was uint256 max

yup legit (we’ve worked with them!), but agreed, they don’t need unlimited spend for a donation.

my best ux 2cts would be NOT to ask for full funds right spending on a first interaction with the app, way way scary. 1 dollar im ok to loose, heck even 5 or 10. But "all"  and in red, no go 

And its not cause other apps are doing it that is Ok i guess

@endaoment is legit. Amps and other apps also ask for unlimited, likely to simplify future transactions.

I don't think thats a scam, but agree that it should only approve what youre donating

Seems like you were donating $1 in USDC to the UIP. Any other info you can share so I can verify this?

My guess is a wallet/UI bug?

It's common for app devs to just request all of a token as it used to cost too much gas to change the amount every single transaction, but nowadays especially with Base it's so insignificant I'd rather just pay the fee every time... 💜
