little parenting trick my kids don't like hiking (yet) but I want to get them outdoors away from the noise/business of life... find a stopping point and tell them that's where you're going (picnic, campfire, park, etc.) 👇 'play in the lake with puppy, and look for arrowheads' had fun & works every time! 😁

Have you ever heard of or tried Orienteering? As a kid I can't remember having more fun in the woods than at an O meet. It's the kinda thing you could set up a mini course just for your kids. Bonus benefit, they learn to use a map and compass
