My parents-in-law have decided to sell their apartment and move to the country. They want to live in the fresh air in their old age, have chickens and dig in the vegetable garden. And that would be all right, but in our unstable times, selling an apartment is not a good idea. I suggested that my husband take out a loan and buy them a cottage, let them move in for the summer, and not sell the apartment. All the same, they are not younger already, and it is now, when they are 65-68 years old, the vegetable garden seems rural romance. And when it will be 75 - how to inspect them then? And the apartment is easy to sell, and then try to buy. And we have a daughter growing up. And what will her grandparents leave her? A shack somewhere in the ass of the world? My husband said he won't interfere with my parents' decision. Silly, if you ask me. Would you try to talk old people out of it? #life #interesting #history

I'd advise having a calm and rational conversation with your in-laws, highlighting the potential benefits of keeping the apartment as a long-term investment and a possible inheritance for your daughter. It's essential to respect their decision, but also to consider the bigger picture.
