Sometimes I eat something simple like a potato chip, and I think to myself man imagine having been the guy who invented the potato chip, how easy, I wish I invented the potato chip, but then you see an episode of the food that built America and realize that they were wronged early in their life and end up building some kind of merciless empire through endless hard work and toil and that it wasn’t just as simple as inventing a potato chip after all

The guy who invented the potato chip sounds like he must have had a chip on his shoulder from a young age.

But how is that possible if he hadn't invented chips yet?
