A lot of this feels to me like the building blocks are slowly being created - cultural legos if you want. But all of this lives of network effects. Without more attention it’s tough to really experience the benefits. The question is: can attention rise organically or do we need to wait for the next catalyst?

Appreciate the thoughts — curious what you mean or are thinking of when it comes to “benefits” and “attention”?

I think all networks become more valuable the more participants they have. This leads to more content, more liquidity, more network effects. And ultimately for users to join we need attention / mind share. In terms of benefits blockchain always compete with the (simpler) status quo. The advantages of e.g. social portable graph portability only become apparent as you use these services and more apparent the more of them and the more intensively you use them. I'm excited about e.g. Farcast, but both for the influencer currently publishing videos on TikTok as well as their followers the advantages are very abstract. They need be pulled in by something else. Once that happens I'm confident we now have enough infrastructure / benefits that people stick around.
