Happy to have helped with this blog post exploring "zero knowledge" at the architectural/system-design level. This was heavily inspired by a blog post from vitalik in 2019 titled "Control as Liability": https://vitalik.eth.limo/general/2019/05/09/control_as_liability.html?ref=blog.waku.org https://blog.waku.org/beyond-proofs-zero-knowledge-as-a-design-philosophy/

This applies to all infrastructure projects. I have seen too much focus on capacity, especially from storage protocols. The real metrics is DAU and the traffic they generate. Which means onboarding developers that build useful apps.

The backbone of Waku's p2p network works on a tit-for-tat model similar to Bitcoin / Ethereum. But to provide reliable services to edge nodes (browsers + smartphones), incentives are needed. That's why we're developing the Waku Service Marketplace 🛒 https://blog.waku.org/explanation-series-waku-service-marketplace/

Curious how p2p comms leveraging Waku can prevent DoS attacks and spam? 💬⛔️ Waku’s answer is its Rate Limiting Nullifiers (RLN) Relay, which limits message frequency and size without requiring a central authority. Read more in our explainer post from @fryorcraken.eth 👇 https://blog.waku.org/explanation-series-rln-relay/

Really, all of cypherpunk / free software / ... is just trying to preserve boundaries that were unquestioned in the year 1900. * Your device serves you, not some gov or corp overlord * You can repair and modify your device to better serve you * Your private conversations are private * Your private money is private

Being able to raise kids. Co-ed secular school, Montessori or well groomed curriculum. Freedom. Meaning out of a reach from a pro-surveillance state. The first one just needs organising, the second one seems harder.

It would make a big difference if pop-up villages would handle and communicate arrangements for kids.

100% I want to hear more story about available school near pop-up village. Or even pop-up school within the village.

We couldn't put on an event without inviting some friends from IFT! 🫂 The next speaker we'd like to announce for Decentralised Data Summit is Franck Royer (@fryorcraken.eth), the Program Lead at @waku. Waku enables censorship-resistant and private off-chain communications, using novel zero-knowledge technology to prevent spamming. Franck joined the blockchain ecosystem for the Cypherpunk and privacy values, previously working on multi-chain private swap protocols. 🔁 Sign up now! https://lu.ma/ysjjjaxa
