VWR: 546 and 548 Rounds is popular but the elephant in the room is that it’s popular bc who doesn’t like free money? Is rounds driving meaningful outcomes? My vote is no, instead it’s mostly rewarding those who are already popular for contributing marginal value. I like it as a game but don’t think it’s +EV

I’d have loved to have seen reports on the past effectiveness of rounds. Who is the $ going to, are they engaging with nouns outside of the cast, are the new. Interview recipients, follow up with recipients to see if they’re still engaged etc

Ya ya meme value blah blah sure. You’re paying people to talk about your thing. I get it. But I think until we have an actual genuinely great proposal come through where the author says “I did this bc I was introduced to nouns via rounds” it’s a stretch to say this will happen

This is spoken has someone who’s gotten 100s of dollars from rounds for posting maybe 3-4 times in nouns. That’s great right? Ofc I like getting paid 100s of dollars for minutes of my time. But is that +EV for nouns? Is that the best use of 100s of dollars? Almost certainly no. I would have posted anyways
