Question for my easily distracted kin: how smart are your watches? I sport a $10 Casio watch that does exactly as little as I need it to. Imagining an Apple Watch feels like a nightmare for me but maybe useful for others?

I have used an Apple Watch for years. What someone said about letting you pick up your phone less often is true. Also I can’t hear my phone when it’s in my handbag, so the watch is useful when out & about. I turn off notifications that aren’t immediately helpful. Plus it’s good for encouraging fitness, reminding about medication, alarms and timers, etc.

I honestly would love to pick up my phone less and less. In my mind it feels contradictory to have notifications, even if heavily filtered, be accessible at the wrist. But it makes sense that there’s less of a guessing game and anticipation for checking the phone.
