So Bitcoin is going up and up and up and I don’t know whether I should buy now or wait for a dip. Because maybe there won’t be a dip? Or maybe there’s *always* a dip? I meant to do dollar cost averaging and just buy a little each month but start now or wait? (I already own a tiny amount.)

Basically I’m shit at this trading thing. I only want to buy and hold but I’m not even knowledgeable enough to do that!

Also if you invest besides DCA a good rule is to set personal tops and lows and not try to match the market ones. You can’t. So you set a stop loss and a take profit and adjust that in a certain timeframe. I’ve experienced a few cycles now and a simple personal indicator are the following emotions: You think you will be rich when the asset does another 5-10x = def time to sell, You think the space is really done, complete bloodbath, we will never come back = time to buy 😆

Normally there’s no “wait” for a good entry point in a DCA strategy, you just start asap. You need a long timeframe for the positive effects to mitigate exactly the questions you raised. No financial advice, I’m not an analyst or anything.

I never owned BTC, wish I did now 😅 . Who knows how high it's going this time and what dips there will be. I guess if you DCA over a long period you are not just buying at a potential top?
