I like what @leosn.eth said below that disruptors disrupt and everyone ups their game. Although I'm not sure Uber has made taxis much better. The job of driving around the city taking people from place to place is not a great one and really needs to be replaced by a machine. We are going to get there

Taxis can't be much better, but I think Uber has brought improvement outside major cities, where cabs don't come along so frequently (also will remember this cast when I apply to work at USV)
