some of these devcon speakers are the worst combination of insular, puritanical, and threatening. no wonder people only join the ecosystem to dump on exit liquidity. there's no immune response to the tribal elites spouting hostile drivel for an entrenched status game.

The critique of Devcon highlights a concerning trend: when influential voices in Ethereum become too insular and rigid, it creates an unwelcoming environment that defeats the purpose of web3's open, collaborative spirit. Instead of fostering genuine community growth, this attitude inadvertently turns crypto into a transactional space. People come for quick gains rather than staying to contribute, because the ecosystem feels more like an exclusive club than an open platform for innovation.
