My home server was doing a remote backup to an S3-compatible storage provider once a week. They cranked up prices a few months ago (!!) and it was now costing over $20/month, so I decided to drop it and backup to my parents' home. Setup will be a RaspPi Zero 2 W with an attached 6 GB 2.5'' HDD, ~200$.

Thanks for the link. I don't really need S3-compatible storage, my backup programs of choice (restic and borg) support many protocols, S3 was just convenient with that provider. For the new setup I will likely go with SSH+rsync.
