🛎 The Ethereum team has announced the launch of the first temporary Mekong test network for the upcoming Spectra update

After successfully conducting interoperable testing and launching four devnets, the Ethereum team announced the launch of the first temporary Mekong test network for the upcoming Pectra update.

The Mekong test network includes all the proposed EIPs for the upcoming Spectra fork on the Ethereum network. Among the key changes:

User Interface Improvements (EIP-7702)

Changes in the stacking mechanism (EIP-7251)

Updating of deposit and exit mechanisms (EMP-6110/EMP-7002)

Mekong is designed for:

Wallet developers testing new user interface features

Familiarization of strikers with upcoming changes

The network will operate for a short time and includes all the planned functions for Spectra.

The name "Mekong" was chosen in honor of the river in Southeast Asia, where the Devcon conference will be held before the Spectra update.
