I spoke with the @hairdao founder today. It truly is a prime example of decentralized organization and the drive to succeed. @dwr.eth was an early member and helped collect hair follicles for research. Today I met a founder of http://hairdao.xyz via a random intro request. I thought it was going to be a social club for bald men. Instead I found an industrious founder on a mission. The NIH in the US labels baldness so that it doesn’t get a lot of funding for research. So these guys started a DAO to collect follicles and do independent research on treatments. @gmo can explain this better than me but apparently hair follicles are a type of organ that doesn’t communicate with cells nearby by. So you can do experiments on them outside the body, highly scalable etc. They have a lab in NYC, and sell their own treatments: https://anagen.xyz

Yesterday met an investor from compound who historically has been skeptical of ZK leading to use cases, but rn now seems like it’s happening. The only way ZK can be used in consumer applications is if we solve the core underlying problem of verifiable data. We started at that more fundamental layer which is why we’ve had a lot of success. My point is he was right. Happy someone else saw this.

hmm I guess I have thought about ways to display runs/workouts in a more visual format; was thinking something closer to a “standard”/art project than an app tho with apps like strava, I don’t even know what’s being exported/shared/stored, and I don’t care to know either because all I want to share is some runs sometimes, which is already guaranteed to be less than whatever any app would store apple healthkit APIs are pretty annoying to access without code I think, but Shortcuts provides an interface that’s good enough and lets me export just the stuff I want
