A Web2 mega app (Reddit) selling full access to its users content to another Web2 mega corp (Google), for just $60M, without any of those users earning a penny. Web3 can and should fix this. #dataownership https://cryptonews.net/28602875/?utm_source=CryptoNews&utm_medium=app&utm_campaign=shared

In your ideal world, how would users be compensated?

I think the first step is to record all content and data onchain. This gives users ownership, creating a transparent ledger that eventually can power open data marketplaces. So if companies want to use data and content, they need permission from owners and eventually pay to use. Near is a chain preparing for this.
