Para Matt Hougan, CIO de Bitwise, es llamativo cómo, "en este momento, existe una desconexión enorme entre el sentimiento minorista y el profesional sobre las criptomonedas. Tether is likely the most profitable company in the world per employee. These are the results of the last fiscal year: Goldman Sachs - $288,172 profit per employee. Meta Platforms - $455,586 ppe Apple - $571,341 ppe NVIDIA - $1,006,757 ppe Tether - $85,625,000 profit per employee. 🤑 It looks tremendous 😮 when you see the comparative graph (made by Avichal - Electric Capital).

Interesting comparison suggested by Cristina Carrascosa, an expert in cryptoasset taxation, between the world's largest investment fund, BlackRock, and the issuer of the USDT stable coin, Tether Limited. BLACKROCK Employees: 19,800 Assets under management of $10.4 trillion Net income in 2024: $6,369 million TETHER Employees: About 50 Assets under management of $140 billion Net profit in 2024: More than $10 billion It's pretty obvious which of the two companies is more efficient in its use of capital, isn't it? 😉

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has repealed the cryptocurrency accounting rule known as SAB 121 that required banks to classify cryptocurrencies as liabilities on their balance sheets. This is a huge step forward for the mass adoption of bitcoin and other crypto assets.

Trump kept his word and granted a pardon to Ross Ulbricht, creator of darknet market website Silk Road. This is the first image of Ross Ulbricht leaving prison as a free man. I don't know if the crimes Ross committed merited life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. Whether it is fair or unfair for him to be pardoned. But what is remarkable is that a ruler keeps his word.

A large number of cryptocurrency ETFs have been filed since Gary Gensler resigned yesterday as chairman of the SEC. They are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and XRP ETFs, but Doge ETF, Bonk ETF and even TRUMP ETF have also been filed! 😐

Los NFT ya tienen diversos casos de uso y aplicaciones: +Como representación y para verificar la propiedad de una obra de arte digital o musical. +Para tokenizar objetos del mundo real. + Como llave de entrada a un espacio reservado. +O como NFT intransferibles que acreditan una identidad o la realización de una formación. Otro caso de uso curioso es el que les va a dar la fiscal general de Nueva York, Letitia James, quien pretende notificar una demanda contra unos estafadores a través del airdrop de un NFT a las carteras de criptomonedas controladas por ellos. El caso tiene que ver con una estafa por una falsa promesa de trabajo a distancia. La cantidad sustraída en criptomonedas superaría los $2 millones, fondos que habrían sido congelados por la policía. Si bien se desconocen las identidades de los estafadores, sí se conocen las direcciones de sus wallets, lo que ha llevado a la fiscal general a pensar en el airdrop de un NFT como forma de notificar a los delincuentes los cargos contra ellos.

Según el Washington Post, Donald Trump podría firmar órdenes ejecutivas nada más asumir la presidencia de los EEUU para corregir dos aspectos que lastran una mayor adopción de los activos digitales: 1.- Eliminar el bloqueo bancario a las criptomonedas. En EEUU existe un bloqueo bancario a los activos digitales, porque hay bastantes bancos que no quieren trabajar con criptomonedas, lo que dificulta que los inversores minoristas puedan invertir en estos activos. 2.- Derogar la política contable que exige que los bancos que poseen criptomonedas tengan que registrar los activos digitales como pasivos. If at this point in the market, bitcoin has only needed a small consolidation after reaching 107k, we are at the beginning of another bullish leg. At the beginning of the year, many companies decide on new budget allocations. How many will allocate a small portion (1-5%) of their treasury to bitcoin?
