Hot take.. It feels like the game is rigged, banks, jobs, social, govt, and the only ones who get ahead are those who take advantage of others. Frustrated by this in general.

It feels like technology is simultaneously getting faster and taking more and more of my time, but I’m unable to earn more no matter how much I work. I’m getting constantly derailed by re-authentication and software updates. Are others feeling this too?

On the www, in our thirst for progress and lack of planning, we have used 10,000 login/2fa bandaids in a misguided attempt to fix fundamental security problems. I would wager the average person spends over 1 hour every day in 2025 simply trying to log in to their online life, yet I hear so little on improving things.. Time to update the system?

I worked with Kurt Cagle a while back - I always find his predictions both insightful and thought provoking. Do others agree with these predictions? (There are 9 sections, I did not use ai to summarize these 3) 1. We've seen great progress in stochastic ai (neural nets trained on data), but to get further, we will need to invest effort in connecting graph databases with stochastic ai to actually reason about topics 2. Video generation tech will continue getting better, but we may see backlash 3. We are not there yet in terms of autonomous ai for drones, and teleoperation is a more likely bridge to full autonomy https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/through-glass-darkly-2025-kurt-cagle-6geic/
