For those who don't know - zk email allows you to prove that you have an email from specific sender by using an email's signature. Let's say you have an email from chess.com which says "Your ELO rating is 500". You can generate a proof that says "The email is valid, chess.com really said so" and mint an NFT (?)

Another thing that may not be common knowledge - every single email comes with a signature. This is how your mailbox validates the authenticity of the message. The corresponding public key is stored in the DNS settings of the domain.

Yes, it can be used. But I'm afraid there's a problem with 2fa, since it depends on time. Proof generation on client side can take up to 15 minutes, which makes impossible to use 2FA with less-then-a-minute interval. And generating proofs on server-side reduces overall safety.

Could it transfer 2FA on-chain? Receive email w verification code 1234, and I prove this code on-chain to authorize calls.

This would require proving that the email source is correct, and that the actual code is correct.

Interesting property is that the email address remains hidden! So the proof sounds like "There is a email such that .....". Not a single word about recipient's email address.

I mean that the owners of such mailboxes will increasingly become victims of scammers, because unlike web2 here hackers have the opportunity to target specific attacks, knowing exactly what tokens and in what volumes the owner of a particular mailbox owns
